Lady A To Release Deluxe Christmas Album

It’s not yet Halloween, but country artists are releasing Christmas albums.

Lady A is the latest ushering in the holiday season with the release of the deluxe edition of their 2012 Christmas project, On This Winter’s Night, this Friday, October 30th. The deluxe edition includes 16 songs, the original 12 tracks along with four new ones. They made the announcement on their Instagram account. Check it out!

The four additional songs reinvented for On This Winter’s Night Deluxe are “Wonderful Christmastime,” written by Paul McCartney, “Christmas Through Your Eyes,” “Little Saint Nick” and “That Spirit Of Christmas,” the latter of which was co-written by Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, and Hillary Scott.

Charles said the covers on the deluxe edition met their requirement of being a little different. Charles explained further, “Anybody that has our Christmas record, you know there’s a lot of very family Christmas songs, and we wanted to find a couple that were familiar but there hasn’t been a ton of covers of, you know, and there really hasn’t been that many covers of ‘Little Saint Nick’ or Paul McCartney’s much at all so we thought that’d be kind of different and unique.”

Lady A’s latest single, “Champagne Night,” sits in the Top 15 and climbing on the country charts. Watch the video below!
