I was born and raised in a little log cabin in Holts Summit. I kid you not, I couldn’t make this stuff up! I went to high school right here in Jefferson City. Go Jay Birds!
After high school, I had a menagerie of odd jobs, but this has been the best!
I love being a member of the KAT Country family! The fun atmosphere and the on-air banter makes it an amazing place! This is my dream job!
I am a movie junkie, so this one is a little hard for me. My all-time favorite movie? It’s so hard to narrow it down. All of the Indiana Jones movies! The Great Outdoors with John Candy, oh my gosh, so funny! Mean Girls… Tina Fey kills me! I love anything funny or action packed. Sixteen Candles… “whatsahappenin’ hot stuff?”
As far as music goes, I like it all. I grew up listening to “old school” country like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr., and Patsy Cline. I have big brothers that introduced me to the world of rock (Hello, Clint and Johnny!). Now I listen to just about anything. I like to keep an open mind when it comes to music.
I’m a sucker for chocolate milk. Can I plug Central Diary here? I love going out for breakfast and usually do every Sunday morning with the Husband and the family.
I have two dogs, Gwen and Gemma, that keep me on my toes! I am super close to my family and enjoy spending time with them and friends as often as I can! I also love to travel, when time and finances allow. My goal is to visit all 50 states!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know a little about me!

They say home is where your heart is, which is a good thing if you’ve lived in as many places as I have.
I was born in Los Angeles, California, but grew up in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas. Since starting off in the radio business, I have lived in California, Iowa and then took a break from broadcasting and lived in Spain from roughly 2013 through 2018 – still don’t speak Spanish, however.
Before arriving at 94.3 KAT Country to work mornings with Erin Hart, I spent a year and a half in Lake of the Ozarks working in radio there and I can say my family and I have loved living in Missouri.
Anything pertaining to the Star Wars and Jurassic Park / World franchises is game for me at any time. I think Step Brothers is one of the funniest movies ever made. The scariest movie I have ever seen is probably The Exorcist, although I haven’t seen it in 30-plus years, so maybe split-pea soup isn’t that big of a deal now.
It’s all about Mexican food. I prefer Tex-Mex over all other genres, but as long as the salsa’s good, so am I.
I have no dogs, but my wife and kids have a couple, plus a kitty – and two Guinea pigs – and a Bearded Dragon. Woops, I almost forgot the Cockatiel. I plan to start charging admission to the zoo pretty soon.
Thanks for making 94.3 KAT Country Mornings with Erin and Chris part of your day!
