Saturday, August 27th: JCMO Guns ‘N Hoses Hockey Game 

It’s Jefferson City police officers against Jefferson City firefighters in a charitable hockey match! It’s happening on Saturday, August 27th at Washington Park Ice Arena. The proceeds benefit SafetyNet of Missouri, a local charity that helps the families of fallen first responders. Tickets to the match are available now for $15 and you can get more details by searching JCMO Guns ‘N Hoses on Facebook.

Sunday, September 4th: Holy Family Parish Picnic

Come to the Holy Family Parish Picnic in Freeburg on Sunday, September 4th from 11:30 am – 7 pm. Enjoy chicken, roast beef, and real mashed potatoes. Carry-outs are only $15. Enjoy a raffle, 50/50, bingo, quilt auction,  games, and live music.

Saturday, September 10th: Jefferson City Rotary West Music Fest 

It will be a fantastic night of music featuring some of the best musicians Jefferson City has to offer. The Jefferson City Rotary West Music Fest is on Saturday, September 10th at Miller Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available now for $25 and the doors open at 6:30 pm. Local saxophonist Xavier Jordan will perform before the show starts at 7 pm. Proceeds benefit Boy Scouts of America, Project Redeem Ministry, and Missouri Blvd. Service Park Improvements. Monday, September 12th: Cork Fork & Brews 2022

Cork, Fork & Brew is a dinner auction that takes place at Capital Plaza Hotel on Monday, September 12th at 5:30 pm that pays tribute to the culinary excellence of local chefs, restaurants, and caterers while raising money for Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson City. Top chefs from the Capital City Area will donate their time and talents to prepare a gourmet sampling that will be coupled with a wine and beer tasting. A silent auction will be held in conjunction with the sampling. Dinner is followed by a live auction, which includes unique dining, entertainment, and vacation packages. Tickets are available here.

Wednesday, September 14th: Barrels & Beats 

Sample whiskey and wines provided by BarWhiskey and BarVino, while enjoying delicious food by The Grand Cafe as fantastic live music by Magnolia Wine fills the air at Barrels & Beats! It’s happening on Wednesday, September 14th from 6 pm-10 pm at the Millbottom parking lot in Jefferson City. The proceeds benefit Boy Scouts of America, Great Rivers Council. Tickets are available now for $60 and you can purchase tickets now at barrelsandbeats.com.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City require mentors, especially male role models. They have two different types of mentoring programs. The organization is looking for individuals who can be consistent friends to a child.  You can learn more and sign up to become a mentor by going online to bbbsjeffersoncity.org.

Donate or Volunteer at The Food Bank

The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri relies heavily on donations and volunteers to operate efficiently. Through their partnership with Feeding America and local organizations, The Food Bank has incredible bulk purchasing power so they can do more with every dollar donated. American Red Cross Blood Drives
