Blake Shelton’s ‘Texoma Shore’ Debuts at Number One

Blake Shelton once again debuts at Number One on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart this week with Texoma Shore. This is his sixth chart-topping country record and eleventh all-genre Top 10.

Blake said, “I can’t believe that 17 years into making records and my fans are still so supportive. I mean a No. 1 album? When I think it can’t get any better, it does – thanks to them. I love you all!”

Blake’s success over the last decade-plus at country radio combined with his popularity on NBC’s The Voice has made for a career that even Blake says he couldn’t dream up, “I have a hard time wrapping my head around it and I have a hard time talking about it intelligently because it’s ridiculous, I mean, just to be honest. It’s not something that I ever could’ve foreseen. I mean, obviously it’s what you dream of but some parts of my career are now beyond what I even knew to dream about. There was never something like The Voice in the cards for me. I mean, what the hell is that? I still don’t know. I still can’t believe that’s happening and it’s just been a blessing and at the end of the day as successful as that show has been, the ultimate gift for me is that it has given me yet another platform to showcase my music which is really the only reason I signed up for it to begin with. To be able to now be sitting here talking to you about my now 11th album, it’s pretty crazy to know that I’ve been able to make that music and to get it out to so many people. It’s ridiculous.”

As the year draws to a close, Blake will conclude his 13th season as a coach on The Voice.

He will kick off 2018 by heading out on the Country Music Freaks tour featuring Brett Eldredge, Carly Pearce and special guest Trace Adkins.
