Enjoy a seafood and fried chicken dinner each Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 at The Jefferson City American Legion Post 5. They’re located at 1423 Tanner Bridge Rd. For more info and other events, visit Post5.com.

Thursday, April 25th: Dog Days at the Diamonds
Get ready to raise the woof at the Dog Day at the Diamonds on Thursday, April 25 from 5:00-7:00pm! This dog event does allow humans. Bring your furry friend to the 63 Diamonds Ballfield Complex for a fun-time with live music, vendors, food trucks, games, and more! Cost is $5 per person. There will be off-leash opportunities inside the ballfield for your pups to play.

Thursday, April 25th: Solid Waste Community Session
Jefferson City Landfill LLC is hosting a Community Involvement Session with the proposed municipal solid waste landfill expansion. The meeting will take place on Thursday, April 25th from 6 to 8 pm at the Jefferson City Landfill Environmental Building, 5605 Moreau River Access in Jefferson City. The public is invited to attend and ask questions of representatives from the Landfill as well as Weaver Consultants Group. Representatives from the MO Dept of Natural resources will also be present to answer questions. For more information, call 573-751-5401

Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27th: Garage Sale
St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton is having a huge garage sale on Friday and Saturday, April 26th and 27th. You’ll find craft supplies, collectibles, holidays decorations, housewares, toys, books tools, furniture and more. The sale runs 7 to 4 on Friday and 7 to 2 on Saturday. St. Anthony Catholic Church is on North Business 5 in Camdenton, about 2 miles north of the Square.

Saturday, April 27th: Jefferson City Area Board of Realtors 18th Annual Cinco De Mayo 5K Walk and Run
Attention all runners, walkers, and supporters! Get ready to lace up your sneakers and join the Jefferson City Area Board of Realtors 18th Annual Cinco De Mayo 5K Walk and Run in support of the Council for Drug-Free Youth!  $25 for youth and $35 for adults! Monday, April 29th: JCHS Track & Field Trivia Night
Love trivia? Form a team and head to Last Flight on Monday, April 29th at 6pm to support the JCHS Track & Field athletes! Teams or play solo, whatever works best for you! Tickets are $25 a person and due at time of registration. Have someone decide to join in last minute? Additional tickets may be purchased at the door for $35. Friday, May 17th: California Firefighters Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament
The California Firefighters Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament is Friday, May 17th at the California Country Club. Three person scramble is a $150 a team with tee time at 8am. Saturday, June 1st: 8th Annual Columbia Memorial Stair Climb
The 8th Annual Columbia Memorial Stair Climb is Saturday, June 1st at 8am. We’ll honor the 422 brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice nearly 23 years ago. We encourage members of the community to join us as we honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice or come show your support to the hundreds of first responders that will be climbing that day! Sunday, June 2nd: Jefferson City Renegades Annual Celebrity Softball Game
Jefferson City Renegades Annual Celebrity softball game is Sunday, June 2nd at Vivian Filed starting at 3:15pm. There will be a Renegades game following the softball game at 5 vs the KC Monarchs. This year the softball game will be benefiting K9’s on the Front Line. Their goal is to raise the $3500 to pay for the 5-6 months of training that the Dog and the veteran need to be certified. Thursday, June 6th: CMFCAA Backyard BBQ Bash
Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association invite you to join them for their Backyard BBQ Bash! The fun takes place Thursday, June 6th at the Millbottom, starting at 5:30pm. The event will be fun for the whole community but also essential for CMFCAA to continue to provide critical services and resources to vulnerable foster, adoptive, and kinship children, youth, and families. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City requires mentors, especially male role models. They have two different types of mentoring programs. The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri relies heavily on donations and volunteers to operate efficiently.
