Hilley & Hart’s Trade-a-Rama

We’re trading UP to see how far we can go…to benefit the Jefferson City Animal Shelter!

Perhaps you’ve heard the story of the Canadian guy who several years ago started with a red paperclip…traded that for a fish pen…then for something else slightly bigger- and so on…UP TO A HOUSE!

We’re doing the same thing. We want to take this as far as we can – and when we feel we’ve obtained an item of sufficient value, we’ll sell or auction it off, with the proceeds to go to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter.

We started with one of those big honkin’ paper clip clamp things.

We traded that for 5 sticks of 90% lean beef jerky (8 inches long!).

We then swapped that for a 40 pound pumpkin (just in time for Halloween!), courtesy of Fischer Farms.

We traded the pumpkin for a brand new marble deskpad. We then sweetened the pot with a pair of tickets to see Martina McBride and Trace Atkins on January 23rd in Independence!

Those items were traded for a “barely used” Toastmaster Breadmaker.

We traded the breadmaker for a Pampered Chef Dessert package, complete with 4 glass plates, cookbook, tart shapers and cake testers.

Def. trade for the pitchers, you could possibly trade those for a fifth of alcohol and broaden your outreach pool.

  3. Shana Graham Says:

Keep the Pampered Chef you can get a hand bag any day and its fake leather.
